Wednesday my 01 Screw goes in to get the plugs changed and have the coils looked at, I think a couple of them are screwed after reading here. I was just curious if anyone has any idea of how much money this is going to be?

I got a quote from my dealer today when I took mine in for the cruise recall. He told me just to change the plugs would be about $300 parts/labor.

getting hosed

So you would have about $50 worth of plugs and $250 for labor. I would do plugs all day long for that!!!!! Lets see I could do 1 truck every hour for 8 hrs, that's what $2000 a day!!! Bring em on.

What is the labor rate out there in Cali? It pays 3hrs to do plugs on a 5.4L, And if that price quote does not include new boot, that's high! Boots are about $10ea. so that would make it ALOT closer.

Shane:
Labor rates out here range anywhere from $85 hr to $110 hr. I know it's high but......judging by the lack of access to the rear plugs and the thought of stripping out the cyl head.......might just be worth it just to not have any trouble or breaking something.

Yep no doubt about that, I am sure one day I will change my plugs and find out, but the LS1 they sucked. I did many of plug changes and stuff on the LS1.
