Can you add a plow to a FX4 Supercrew with the 6.5 ft bed (139" WB)? I am asking as I know someone with a 2000 F-350 Supercrew with the 8 ft. bed and he said his wheel base is too long to safely add a plow per the owner's manual?

Anyone know if I would be able to do so?

 

answer is yes you can. BUT IT WILL VOID WARRANTY!!!!!! i had one on my 2001 supercrew with no problems looking to put one on my new supercrew.Ford says the front axel isnt heavy enough. i only do 2 small driveways so i dont worry too much.

 

I have an 04 screw and it says in the manual not to add one. one thing i do know is that if you have just a little bit to do, like 2 small driveways it probably wont be to bad. but if you go around hitting and pushing snowbanks of any size you will probably twist the frame and eventually ruin your truck. or so i've been told.
