New to the forum...I pretty much know what F-150 Screw I am going to purchase - a 07 Lariat w/6 1/2' bed and navigation (I travel and that is my office); anyway I am trying to decide on an interior color. I test drove a new 06 a month ago and it had a black interior and I could not decide if I liked it or not. I have an 05 EB Expedition and like the tan interior but don't like how dirty the leather and plastic gets so quickly (the kids), espicially if your running shoes touch some plastic. I clean the leather and plastic monthly, however it is difficult to get some of the markings out.
I just wanted to get some folks thoughts on the black interior and its wear and tear - espicially on the black leather seats.

I don't have the black in my truck but my wife has it in her jaguar and i think it kinda sucks. it's not bad in winter but in summer i advise not to sit on it i shorts. hurts like !@##. jmo

 

I have black leather interior in my FX4. I actually love how it looks. I had all my windows tinted extra dark to help keep it cooler in the summer. I also make sure I always used a windshield shade in the summer and have not had an problems. I love it!

 

Black interior is great .... only drawback is you will be cleaning it more .... You can see dirt really easily, especially on the carpets ...

 

I love my black sport cloth which I think is only available on the FX4 trucks. If I would have gone leather I would have went with black, but this sport cloth was my first option.

I've got the black leather interior in my FX4. It doesn't stain or look dingy like the tan leather gets in my Sport Trac and Expedition. The one draw back to the black interior is that I live out in the country and I track all kinds of highly visible mud & grass onto the black carpet. The black leather holds up much better than the tan leather does.
