What type of SCREW did I just see ? ?

Over the past two years I've noticed two different newer model Ford F-150 SuperCrew FX4 trucks in the city that I live in. Both of them have roof racks, front end push / brush guards and larger tires. All of which looked "factory" to include a dark grey paint job.

On one of them I was able to get close enough to read a sticker just below the side F-150 logo that said something like "Colorado Edition" or "Baja Edition" or something like that. I simply don't remember the first word of the sticker. What throws me is that none of the added features appeared to be after market add-ons as they were identical between both trucks.

Does anyone have any idea if there is a different version available or a dealership producing their own version, etc?

Any info would be greatly appreciated as this is driving me nuts.

It's just a case of some dealer sticking on some extra stuff and calling them special editions. It obviously works cuz you saw them on the road.

Probably one made by a conversion company like the FX400.

You may have seen a conversion truck that was done by one of the companys that buy the vehicles from Ford, do the conversion (think Starcraft Van Conversions, or Steeda Mustangs), then sell the trucks through a Ford dealer. The trucks get sold as new, complete with full Ford factory warranty. e.g., Southern Comfort Conversions does Ford trucks in the South West and Mid-Atlantic area. I recently purchased a Southern Comfort converted '06 F-150 Lariat SCREW 4x4 from Manassas Battlefield Ford in Manassas, VA. You can see pictures of it in the "Photo Galleries" section of this BB, under 06 So Comfort. All the aftermarket stuff, from the paint job to the 20" wheels, to the dual exhaust, is professionally done (looks factory).

I have to be honest, the paint job on your SC F-150 is absolutely georgious. Hats off to you. It's probably the most stiking paint scheme I've ever seen... very cool.
