I'm in the market for a new truck. Looking at an 04 lariat supercrew 4x4. I've read on here that some of you had some issues with the 04 model but never stated exactly what. Can anyone chime in? Thanks

 

I have an 04 XLT. It has 60K miles on it and the only thing I have had to do is have the power window switch replaced in 2 of the doors. The warranty covered it so no big deal to me. I guess I was one of the lucky ones but it proves that all of em werent bad

 

I have an 04 screw with 45k on it and the front rotors were bad at around 15k. The dealer did not claim a recal but took replaced them anyways. It's been and awsome truck otherwise.

 

Any new model year vehicle has some quirks. The F150 o4 was no diff. But these quirks are now on a 3 year old vehicle. They most likely would have been apparent at an earlier date and subsequently remedied. No worries now. Should be good.

 

My drivers side power window button lost it's green lighting, and the third brake light had a leak. Both warranty replaced.

 

So they will cover the green lighting fix for the front window. I just got an 04 and noticed these lights were out. Is this a common issue? TSB?
