Noise in front end

Hi All,

I've got a 07 King Ranch, 6.5 bed. It has 4200 miles on it and a few weeks ago it developed a new rattled in the front end. It's definitely coming from the front end passenger side. Occasionally I think I can hear it in the middle/driver's side but 80% of the time it's on the passenger side front end.

I finally know somewhat how to describe the sound. It sounds exactly like my 95 Lumina did when the ABS would kick on. Sort of slow rattle that on occurs over bumps. It sounds like something is loose. I was able to reproduce the sound with my foot on the brake so it doesn't seem to be the calipers. It's a more pronounced rattle when turning but never the less I hear it going in a straight line any time I hit bumps in the road.

I've got an appointment this Saturday to bring it in and get checked. Any ideas on what you think it might be?

Just drove the truck home. They did two things to it and overall noises are much less:

1) There was gravel/rocks stuck on top of the front skid plates that must have been rattling around.

2) They refastened the air cleaner nozzle to the fender because it's a common noise source.

It's much quieter now. After thinking about it, I could definitely see it being rocks rattling around on the skid plate. The truck still made some noises on the way home over some really rough roads but overall much quieter. Right now the noise I'm hearing sounds like squeaky rubber, almost like you have the windshield wipers running and it's squeaking on the glass.

Just FYI on the two different "fixes".
