Headlights Help........
I tried several brands of Blue Xenon bulbs in my '97 F-150.
Pros: Road markings and street signs litterally "pop" out at you. Everything looks 3D and is well defined.
Cons: No matter what brand I tried, or how I adjusted the beams, they didn't illuminate the road more than 50 feet in front of the truck. I got flashed with high beams from oncoming traffic a lot. My friends say the blue lights weren't very bright from head on, but the light was irritating and made them squint.
Some brands were better than others, but after a year with them, I switched back to Halogens.

Give Sylvania Silverstars a try. They are a whiter than stock and also are brighter. They are also 100% legal so you don't have to worry about that. Unless Ford changed them from the 2006 model the part numbers are H13ST for the headlights and 9145ST for the fogs.

Warning!!!!!!
Please check your local laws before installing blue tinted headlights. Here in hawaii, having blue tinted headlights, or blue lights for any reason will get you a trip to court and a possible 1 year jail sentance. They are saying that this is like impersonating a police officer. I should know, as I had to go to court for this. Even though the package states DOT approved, it depends on the states laws. I was lucky and the judge threw it out after I showed they had been changed back to stock.
Anything past 4300 K will start to show some blue light bleeding off at the edges of the light spectrum. If you go up to 6000K, this will look blue at the headlight. In my opinion, you may get a brighter close range with the xenon lights, but as far as pure light output you will have less with 6000 than 4300.
