Question Truck Tents

Has anyone out there ever had a truck bed tent for their Screw? It seems like a pretty good option for camping but I wasn't sure about real space with a short bed. I have been looking online and there are so many different brands and styles, I'm not even sure what to look at. As always any help anyone could offer would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I do not have one for my screw yet but, I did have one in my scab. Granted it was convienent and kept us off of the ground but, you lose the use of your truck. It is too hard to keep taking down each time you need your truck. If you do not plan on needing your truck I say go ahead. Is your bed 5.5 feet? I think that may be too small.

Yeah I have the 5.5ft. bed. I was afraid it would be too small. I won't really be needing my truck we just set up a base camp and hike so it would be ideal.

there was also another pic i was looking for on my comp, that was a bed cover open that had mosquito netting around the gaps, and over the tailgate, and the bed had a bedrug in it. Actually would be something i could handle sleeping in, if i didnt have my tent.

Got a Sportz Truck Tent from Autoanything.com for a camping trip a few weeks ago. Worked really well, and if I needed to use the truck bed during the day, the whole tent lifted off just by removing the straps that hold it to the bottom of the sheet metal.

Works great. I just need to get a better air mattress. Thinking of getting this http://www.autoanything.com/truck-te...0A2612523.aspx but I'm not sure if I need to get the Expedition Series since even though I've got a spray on liner, the air mattress will be inside the tent.

Edit: Just realized this was in the SCrew forums (i just searched for 'truck tent') and I've got a SCab... Oh well
