Hey there all nice forum you got going here.

Hope you can help out with a decision as i'm planning on purchasing a used 03 Screw Lariat FX4 w/ 46K miles on it.

I own an 03 Cobra (hence the name) and need to tow it around a little bit and need some advice.

I have heard mixed reviews in regards to this truck and would like your overall opinion.

Welcome to the site! I looked at the truck in question and it looks pretty nice and appears to be in great shape. I also read some of the posts from the other forum. If you are not going to be towing a lot, then I would say the 5.4 would be fine. I would maybe try to haggle the price. Seems a bit high to me. (IMO)

Looks like a nice truck. Seems to be a fair price, not a great bargain. What are trucks like that going for at local dealers, with a warranty? That's what i would compare it to. I tow a 4500 lb. boat all summer long with my F150 with no trouble. Be sure to use trailer brakes, and change the tranny fluid and filter more often.

I know it's not the best deal out there but it has everything i'd like and need.

All leather heated seats etc. and the towing package as well w/ tranny cooler, 7pin, etc.

Most local trucks in that age range w/ similar miles are hard to find and are advertised for around 18K

I'm not too concerned about the warranty as i feel these trucks are fairly dependable and i plan to keep up with all the general maintenance ie fluid changes etc.

Help a newbie out and lmk of common probs with these trucks to look out for....
