I have an 02 Screw FX4 with 3.55LS. Unfortunately in 02 you couldn't get the 3.73's. My 99 Scab that I traded in had 3.73's, and I immediately noticed the difference. I bought a Superchips to help compensate, but have since bought a boat that weighs ~4500lbs. Let's just say at altitude, the truck struggles a bit (especially up in the mountains).

I found a guy that will do the gear swap for $450 labor, and I'm real tempted. I'm just not sure how big of a difference it will make? At this point I'm looking at a gear swap or potentially a new truck (obviously the gears are MUCH cheaper, but if they don't do the trick, I'm out a grand and still need a new truck).
