Need help identifying running boards, and finding Pics

I just won these running boards on ebay, but have yet to find a picture of this style mounted up! I know they are a genuine Ford part as they come up on the ford parts online catalog. I like them because they have a similar look to nerf bars, but are painted to match the truck.

If anyone knows of a picture where these are actually mounted on a truck, please point me that way! I'd be curious to know if I like them BEFORE I put them on my truck.

Here is the auction for part #'s

Thanks

Josh

You kinda put the cart in front of the horse in first buying the running boards before checking around to see if anyone else has them and how they looked.

I have those exact ones on installed on my Super Crew.. In fact I won them on ebay as well.

I bought them to replace the stock running boards because I didnt like how the stock ones looked.

I dont have any pictures to post (probably the only one in the world without a digital camera and I do computer support ) but I dont think you have to worrry how they will look on your truck. I love mine and I think they look great.

Good to hear! They do run the entire length of the cab correct? Also, since they only have 2 mounting points how sturdy are they?

Thanks

No.. They dont run the whole length of the body the cab part.. Probably about 6 to 8 inches short from either end but still plenty enough room to cover all 4 doors for people to get in and out on.

The two mounting points are very sturdy, bolts into the factory mounting points on the frame with no problems. I think they add a very sleek look to the truck yours will look even better since they are color matched.

I only had one reserve they do mount a little higher and tighter to the truck than my stock ones did (stock were the full running board style). So it did take a few days to a week to get used to using them. You dont get as wide as a place to step onto like others that are out there so if you wear work boots or other big shoes you have to step a little sideways when you do step down on them.

Im sure if you are good with welding you could modify the brackets to allow the bar to sit lower and out a little more while still using the stock mounting holes on the frame. I have been thinking about doing this but just havent had the time.

Besides that I think I really like them, no complaints and I am glad I purchased them. I will try to get some pics taken and see if I can get them posted here.

That sounds perfect actually, I really like the look of not having any running boards/nerfs at all, so if they sit tight to the body that will be great for me, Hopefully they will be here by the weekend, but I am kind of doubting it. I'll take some pics as well when I get them mounted up. They don't seem to be that popular either, another plus!

Actaully on the layout (after refreshing my mind by looking at my truck) they fit right under the doors covering both front and back.

A good way to look at it will be they will start at the front edge of the front door and end at the back edge of the rear door. Sorry for the confusion.

Got an email from Fedex, they should be here on Friday! I'll post up pictures as soon as they are mounted. I need to do some prepping as the underside is kind of rusty where the old running boards were mounted.
