For the longest time I have been thinking about what do do with that big open empty area on the floor board between the driver and passenger seats.

I have a 60/40 front seat split bench front seats. I am rather tall and I keep the both seats back almost all the way so no one will be moving them around.

What I am looking for is there something out there that just provides some nice up front storage for odds and ends out there? Not so much for putting I mean the glove compartment isnt the bigest thing in the world neither the center arm rest console.

I have done some online browsing for things but I havent found anything that I would be 100% certain would work or work with out some modifications.

Anyone have any possible solutions purchased or homemade..?

Do you have a supercrew, supercab or standard cab? Maybe post a pic so others will be able to get an idea of what you're wanting.

Since it is the supercrew forum he probably has a supercrew (crew cab). Do you mean the space under the back seat or the space between the front of the back seat and the back of the front seat where people in back put their feet?

 

I take his description to be in the front between the dash and seat. Where a flow through consle goes.

Bluejay you hit it on the head. That is the space. In other words if you had someone sitting up front in the middle, it would be the space where their legs would occupy.

I mean I have seen other models of trucks and different years of the F-150 supercrew with different configurations that put space to good use. I think the '07's dont even have that space anymore.

I am not wanting to go to the extreme ripping out my front seats and put in two captain's chairs so I can buy something that would work for that style of configuration.

Just basically was wondering if anyone else has thought about using this (in my terms) wasted space for something; if anyone has found something out there or built something themselves.

I could be wrong here but I think I remember someone putting in a lightly modified console from an Expedition up front in a 2001 Supercrew. I can't remember if they had the 60/40 or bench seats.... Seems there were two types of floor consoles for the 2000 - 2001 (?) Expedition and only one would work.

 

I have an 01 Screw that I use a bench seat console on the floor. It it a tight squeeze to fit there. The cupholder & small open compartments are up front & very handy for too much stuff. The rear has a padded top much like our factory console. It hinges at the back for ample storage, a little deeper than the factory. It was about $50.00 5-6 years ago. I got ths one at wal-Mart. I have seen them around recently. I measured it & it was 18.25" x 11.75"w. x about 8" deep. I looked in Summit & Jegs sites but I could not find a picture for you. Look around at other accessorie sites & you may find one. E-mail me & I will let you know if one is correct. I may send a pic if I get time this weekend. Hope this helps.
