confused, help on direction

i posted this earlier on a local forum im on. figured i post it here as well to get you guys input.

ok ive been looking at dropping my truck lately. found the ground force 9933 to be very inticing. but after reading some reviews people are complaining about bottoming out b/c they are hitting the bumpstops early or the shocks are too soft. some of them have even gone to a ride rite type of air bag setup out back inplace of the shocks.

but what i forgot about seeing in a mag before i got my truck was the sema truck that air ride technologies had built. check these componets out.

http://www.ridetech.com/productinfo/airbar.asp

http://www.ridetech.com/productinfo/shockwave.asp

complete bolt on and from the looks of things i should be able to drag. depending on how i can set it up. b/c they offer 2 different controllers but they both level it out. i've got a catalog on the way so hopefully it answers more questions.

now the price 700 for the ground force and if i had to add air bags it would be somewhere between 1000-1200. and the air ride is 2400 but i would need to get a compressor and a few other things i believe. but in the long run if the air ride works out how i want it to it would be better suited than me buying a hardbody and bagging it and having 2 vehicles.

now your input gimme some opinions and ideas, and where you think i should go with this

fwiw I've heard bad things about the reliability of that air bag system. Glad I didn't go for it myself.

Just get the ground force kit, and if that doesn't do it for you...get the ground force air shocks for the rear.

For the most part I can say that I agree with info you have posted here on F150online due to you speaking from experience. Well all things do come to an end.

I own both and would recommend both to people interested in the products. I would not suggest it to those who dont have recommended applications. As for you hearing things, consider who you heard it from and what was their situation.

If your goal is to drag or lay frame, you need to do a lot more research on our trucks suspension set up. A custom system is your only option for the rear since the air bar will only give you 9.25. To lay frame you have to go bags over or behind axle into the bed

Well hey, I can't be right on everything! haha.

I'm glad it has worked out well for you, but when I was researching I came across a few people that steered me WAY clear of those products. They said they had some ongoing reliability issues. Of course, I have no first hand experience....just passing on the word.

In fact, come to think of it, wasn't rafa one of those who got so fed up with it that he took the entire kit off and went with DJM? Not sure, just a thought.

anyway, I though that kit looked awesome... I damn near ordered the full deal. Hmmm

Yes it was....... Rafa with the 4x4 who put the kit designed for a 4x2 on and had problems

Anyway, let me know when you can share you audio video knowledge with me.
I'm stuck........and even with all the information guys like you and brypink have posted, I have made a few mistakes that need to be corrected...

I'm contemplating the ground force 9944 kit. It's a 2/4 drop with rear spring replacement instead of a flip kit. I haven't heard anything bad about this kit yet. It is pricey though, like $1100.
