hye guys im new to the site! i just bought a 01 f150 super crew with the 5.4 triton.. i was just wondering what the gas tank size is? if anyone can help thanks.

 

The tank size is 25 gallons. But you will never pump that much due to the reserve amount left in the tank when the guage reads empty.

thought there was an optional 30 gal fuel tank too, maybe not for the supercrew I suppose then.

 

I have an optional 35.7 gal tank on my 2006 Supercrew with a 5.4 motor

 

Pretty sure 30 gal is stock on the 06 crew, not sure about the 01 though

 

You might be right. I had an 02 extended cab and a 30gal tank was an option. A buddy I used to work with had a 02 crew and I though his had the 30gal? Maybe not.


Look in the owner's manual. I think it will give you some info if it was even an option or not.

 

Also, if you still have your window sticker from when you bought it, your tank size is definitely on it...

 

Around 25 sounds about right. I can never pump more than 23 gallons into my truck.

 

25 gallons was the only choice on the 01 Screw. There is no room for the 30 because of the shortened bed. They fixed that on the 04 and beyond.
