Look in the technical articles on this site. I do not know if the 2004 and newer are like this, but have not heard different.

Most likely the headlights are the DRLs? Open your center console ( or glove box ) and read your driver manual in the safty features and it should have the instructions on turning DRLs on & off, my DRLs are in my headlights so I never plan to use them, I'd like to have them in the parking lights though.

I was wondering the same thing, but I was too afraid to ask.

if you press on your emergency brake one click.. it will shut them off its how you shut off chevy's drl's one click isnt enough to hurt your brakes.. or cause you drag while driving... other than that you can not turn off your daytime running lights xlts might have had the option.... my xlt has or had the day time running light sensor on the truck my truck caught on fire cause of them... i had to use home electrical wire as a temporary fix to get home on night driving down the road.. and once got it home and had daylight i had to re wire the entire head lights ... with a new wiring harness..

Those are Daytime Running Lights (DRL) they are run by a sensor that can tell if it is daylight out, otherwise you have the real headlights on with corners
b.c its dark out...

My 03 Xlt did not have the DRLs as an option, im sure some of the Xlts did, just like i could have gotten an Xlt with a 5.4, or the tow package etc...

DRL's

Look in the owners manual at the fuse chart. I had a Chevy S-10 that the DRL's (they were on their own circuit) were disabled by pulling a fuse.

Should an 06' FX4 have the DRLs? Cause, my lights don't come on unless I turn them on. My auto mode doesn't work right either. If it's dark out and the head lamp switch is in the auto mode the lights will come on when I first start the truck, but they turn themselves off within a few seconds.
