I was wondering if any of yall have put toolboxes on yalls Supercrews. I have found a low profile delta toolbox for onl 120 but i dont think it will fit over the wheel wells. i am thinking about welding it so it will fit. Anyway, I'm just wondering what toolboxes yall have. thanks, mac

They make tool boxes for our trucks. I have a UWS (United Welding Services) one that I like. just have to look. Mine is deep but not very wide.

I have a standard tool box that sits above the bed rails. It looks kinda weird with the short bed, but it's just as deep as the low profile boxes. Most of the low profile boxes won't fit because they're deeper to account for the lower profile. It kinda sucks to have the tool box sometimes because the bed is already short, but I have a lot of stuff I need in there (tools, floor jack because I don't trust the emergency jack, tow straps/chains, ammo/guns), and often I realize I'd rather lose that room in the bed to the box. Also, they make a narrow tool box that is only about 14" wide, and is about the normal depth.

I've been debating what toolbox to get as well. Here is a cool option from Tuffy: http://www.tuffyproducts.com/truckbox/117.html

I'm debating this one, or 2 side rail mounted ones so I still maintain the overall length of the bed, but have secure storeage as well.

Toll Box @ Lowes

I purchased mine from Lowes. It is the low-profile (in black) and looks great - made for full-size trucks. It mounts on the rails (I purchased the quick mount kit so I did not have to drill any holes). Being low profile, it does not obstruct the view out of the back window at all.

I went in when it was on sale in the ad (10% off), then combo'd that with a 20% off Home Depot coupon. I got the tool box for about $169 I think - which was a steal. It looks great, and it comes in very handy.

sorry to high-jack:

but is there a toolbox that is mad to mount in the front of the bed (like all others) but not go over the bed rails? So that the entire toolbox cant be seen from a distance, or looking into the bed?

Yeah, there are several out there that are like that. UWS has some, Delta has some, and I'm sure there are others

try looking here:

http://www.knaacksecure.com/content....&category_id=2

Knaacksecure has all kinds of bed mounted boxes. I purchased a pork Chop box and mounted it in the bed in front of wheel hump on drivers side. All I need was a small box for receiver tongues and tow straps and misc. items.
