No write-up, but you will need a 9/16 Deep socket, as well as the special spark plug lubricant spray and be sure to use as needed. Also, I was told to kind of wiggle it side to side, let up, and start over a few times. Don't just give it a ton of elbow grease in a single run or you may snag one off in there.

Also, when done vaccuum out the hole for the plug if you can.

How much different than the 16 valve engine? Still uses COP and the fuel rail in the way? Here's some info for the old motor that might help.

Hi.

Another thread us 04+ guys REALLY need to read throughly is this one:

https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...ght=spark+plug

You'll note the advice in post #14 - as soon as possible from new, take out, lube & replace those plugs to avoid future problems.

Same deal, BTW, with the brake rotors - as soon as possible after purchase, remoce 'em and coat the disk/hub mating surfac with hi-temo anti-sieze compound. This will elimimate the Paul Bunyan hammer removal method later on .

I'm doing both very soon. At 400 km. What a PITA ...

Cheers
