Exclamation H E L P : Hood Flapping with Wind?!

I purchased a 2005 F150 Crew Cab about 4 weeks ago. Today I noticed that at speeds above 70 mph the hood seems to move, seems to vibrate, especially in the area near the wipers. I stopped and checked that it was closed. The car only had 15,000 miles when I bought it and looked mint.

QUESTION: Do they all do that?

Check out the 04-06 forums for topics on this. I've heard of it before. I think most owners with this problem also had bug shields installed that seemed to contribute to the problem.

There is a TSB for this issue.... search 2004+ ... I couldn't find it with a quick search.

Your dealer needs to check the hood for proper alignment, adjust the hood stops if need be, and install some 3/16" vacuum hose inside of the hood seal itself to create a tighter fit against the fenders. There is a TSB for this, but your dealer likely won't find it, since for whatever reason the bulletin applies to 2004 trucks only.
