Supercrew LWB?

I have a 97 SuperCab, and think it's about time for an upgrade. Having moved out of the big city, parking is no longer an issue for me. I've long wanted a supercrew type arrangement, able to carry 4 in comfort, and plenty of storage room and dogs in the back. However, I won't give up the 6.5' bed. I want to carry a sheet of plywood safely from time to time, and the 5.5 doesn't do it for me.

To that end, I think Ford hit the nail on the head with the now available F-150 SuperCrew LWB (aka 6.5' bed). Who has one? Why did you get it? Any problems parking? It's a long truck.

I don't have one, but I've seen them up close and they're not much longer than a Supercab with a 6.5' bed.

Don't have one but I test drove one the other day, it does have longer feel to it but you get used to it really quick. I really wish it was available when I bought mine, that extra foot would be sweet!

I've got one! It's an '06 XLT 4x4 with the 6.5 foot bed. I LOVE IT! I chose the longer bed because my 2001 with a 5.5 foot bed just wasn't big enough. Now I've got room to toss four mountain bikes, or a couple kayaks into the back for a quick recreation trip. The kayaks are 9' long, and get carried with the tailgate down just fine.

It's a pretty long truck, but I don't have much trouble parking, or driving in town. I'm 6'5" tall, though, so I've got a pretty good view out all the windows. The backup sensors are very helpful. When parking, I go waaay out to the back of the lot, and when I can't get away from other vehicles, I back into parking spots. It's easy to over-hang two spots length-wise in some of the smaller parking lots. Sometimes I wonder if the parking lot designers think everyone drives a Focus!!!!

I hope to get more pics up in my gallery soon. Did I mention I LOVE MY TRUCK?
