just bought an 06 screw

It was a hard decision between this truck, the tundra or the nissan. I couldn't pass it up with the rebates ford was giving. did i make the right choice here? I researched all i could about the 2006 F160. didn't find much so i thought i would ask here. Have the problems of 04,05 been worked out?

06 lariat 4x4

I have been doing the same thing for the last 2 months...comparing the Titan, Tundra, and F150. I loved the Titan's power, very torqey but quality seems to be and issue and it just doesn't look as nice as the F150. The Tundra was a bit smaller than I wanted and it has the least power of the 3. Look like I will be getting a Lariat F150 this week or next.

I have an '05 which I bought in Nov of '04 and can't complain about it one bit. The only issue I had was a rattle in the headliner and went in for the TSB and had it fixed in about 15 minutes. I know power is a big issue with a lot of people on here but these trucks weigh so much and I am not going to be doing any racing or anything. For all my needs it is axactly what I wanted. I do tow a little bit but have had no issues with that either. Power for towing is great in my opinioning. I am sure that you will be pleased with your truck as I am with mine. Good luck.

I have an 05 4X4 SuperCrew 5.4L. The only problem I had was tire related with the stock Generals. Unless I ran them at 45 psi I had severe steering wheel shake but at any psi I had vibration issues. The dealership first did a road force balance and when that did not help replaced some of the tires. I took the truck with the new tires to a local tire store and paid the difference and upgraded to Michelins. This stopped the vibration problem.

I traded an 04 SuperCab for the 05 SuperCrew so I knew how it should ride and handle. Because of the stiff frame you are always going to feel some bumps and such when on rough pavement but when on smooth pavement my now is "smooth as silk"

F@#$ the Tundra & Frontier and ESPECIALLY the Ridgeline haha, Ford oh yeah best deal, especially since they are offering the $4k cash back till July '06. F150 looks so damn good especially the '06 with the new rounded out fogs. God I really want a black Lariat with chrome lol.

Anybody know what kind of rebates I could expect to get in Canada on a new SuperCrew?

I think you did. My '05 (Job1) has been flawless.

don't you say bad things about nissan

easy on nissan, I had a 02 frontier supercrew and put 87,000 miles in 2 years. Never had a problem and took it so many time off-road. However, I switched to Ford in february 05 after looking at the Titan. The Titan was way too expensive and also add the employee discount from ford...math...cheaper, I am buying a FORD F150 SuperCrew 4*4
