Either way you look at it, you're not gaining many MPG. If MPG matters to you, you may want to look into getting a different vehicle.

Not in fuel savings to justify the purchase. I have the shell cap on, adds weight to haul but it didn't hurt my mileage any. I buy it to keep my stuffs dry in bed when travelling as well as keeping stuffs locked lying around the bed, and for the dogs to ride in back of bed under the shell. So it's worth my $1250 investment, knowing it doesn't hurt the mileage with the extra weight, but I dont count it to help improve the mileage.

Thanks everyone for your imput, i think i will likely be getting LT headers / duals next because i will gain sound, performance, mileage, all at once.
Should perk up my truck alot. Just need to keep my foot out of it thats the real problem....

But if several people honestly think i wont loose more then .5 mpg city driving with 4.10s i would do them first

efans seem pretty intellegent by the way they work very interesting. Getting rid of my truck uhhh only thing I will trade for would be a new full optioned black Lariat Supercrew or a black '02 - '05 Hemi Dodge Ram.
