Need some advice... feedback....terribly

Alright I'm about to take the plunge, and would love any comments feedback thoughts etc...

I have an 06 Black SCrew Lariat 4x2. I'm about to order new wheels and do a skyjacker 2.5 leveling kit on the front end.

The wheels I'm going with are the 20x9 Avenue AV2
http://ww2.coastal.edu/jbell1/av2.gif

and I plan on putting them on a 285/55/20 BFG All-Terrain (white lettering out).

I gotta be honest and say I'm scared to death of how it will look. I hope it all looks good together. I love the wheels but i have only seen them on one other truck and it was a lowered 2WD. Also I have seen other trucks with a similar setup and love it.Ie... Killians truck and a few others.. Of course they are 4WD and sporting 35's or near that.. I hope to acheive the same look just a little smaller... i guess because of the ammount of cash Im dropping i got the butterflies...

Tell me what you guys think and if any of you are photoshop geniuses then hook me up....

So come on!!!

Need some advice... feedback....terribly

I do not know photoshop, but those wheels with BFG ATs will look great. Rest easy.

I have a gift from God (IMO) when it comes to visualizing auto mods before they are done, and I must say I think you may share my talent.

I can't wait to see the finished product...

Oh, but I must advise to go white letters IN. It just looks cleaner...trust me on this one, especially over time you will thank me. White out just looks too busy and it ends up getting dirty and detracting from the beauty of the BFG AT TA tire.

*Oh, is there any chance you can go one seize TALLER on the tires? Do they make a size like that? I think those 32s will be too small. that's the size I had on my Ranger EDGE with only a Tbar crank and even they looked a little small on my Ranger.

I hope you know you just made me feel worlds better... i was thinking of turning the letters in and still may.....they will look great with some tire wet

The reason i didnt go with 33 was because of the turn radius.... even with the lifft on the front i think they will rub...and im also nervous when it comes to cutting

BTW how much did your tire change throw off your speedo... ill prolly be getting the edge evo to correct mine, plus a lil extra HP never hurt

Trust me, you won't have any problems running a 33 pn an F150. People regularly fit 33s and sometimes larger on Rangers with little to no modifcation.

the MOST you might have to do is a HAIR of trimming on the black, lower plastic piece on the front bumper, and I am almost certain even that isn't going to be an issue.

In the long run you will be much happier with the 33 if you want the look I think you do.

As for the speedo being off, when I went from stock to my 32~s it was actually still within 1 mph around 45mph according to EVERY roadside radar I ever passed...in fact it was closer than stock haha.

It is something around 7% difference going to 32s, and probably 10% with 33s. Nothing to worry about...only 3-5 MPH difference at top highway speeds (65-70ish)

Oh, and either the EDGE or a Troyer (www.troyerperformance.com) will correct the speedo and reclaim lost power.

good luck!

Hmmmm good thoughts but one prob... i just checked BFG's site and they only have 3 sizes for 20 inch rims... a 285/55/20 and 325/60/20 and then at 37 inch tire.... Dont you think the 325 would be too wide for me? i dont want them sticking too far out from under the fender wells no more than maybe an inch, plus this will be a daily driver... whatcha think?

One added thought... BFG lists thier 285/55/ to be a total diameter of 32.5 inches.. Here are the specs on my wheels if it means anything cuz it doesnt to me... 20x9.0 PCD 6x135 ET 30

Hmm... well the 325/60/20s are too tall... so I guess go with the size you planned. It will probably look ok... I'm sure many members here have that size setup and it looks good. Try a post for people running 32s to 33s on the 04 up and see what ppl post.

that should help

I think they will look good. I agree, you should stick with the 33's (285/55-20). You will not be able to fit the 35's on a 4x2 unless you go to a 4 to 6 inch lift.

The Wheels should be here tomorrow, so should the lift and the edge evo. Still waiting on the tires to come in.

BTW, i didnt realize lug nuts didnt come with the wheels so i need to find nice lug nuts, prefferably at least one locking on for each wheels... Any South Carolina peeps out there that can recommend a good place to get these?

Derek

PS I will definitely have pics when im done... with before and after shots!!
