Where does the code reader plug in?

AutoZone offered to loan me a code reader. Where do I plug it in? 2001 SuperCrew, smaller V8 (4.6 I think)?

Thanks

I could be wrong, but I beleive that it may be the plug port that is underneath your steering column. If you stick your head down there you will see a port thats fairly easy to get too. Good luck.

Using this picture :

Just below the anti-submarine panel, there is a black D shaped plug. It shows in the picture as if it was above the gas pedal. Black with 7 silver dots showing. That is the DTC connector.

Make sure you cigar lighter works, as this powers the DTC port, which in turn powers the scanner.
