Does anyone know....

About the turn signal located on the edge of my mirror.

I have a 2001' Supercrew F150 Lariat and that little red lense on the edge of my mirror works on the drivers side, but doesnt blink on my passengers side.

I've been to O'Reillys, Autozone, and Advance Auto parts and they've tried looking it up on their computer under turn signals, but nothing comes up for a mirror. One of the guys even said that it might be a fuse blown, but others said that it is a bulb.

I looked around the mirror to see about changing it but nothing really looks like it can be taken apart. If anyone can help, It would be much appreciated. Or if anyone knows the part # to where I can just go buy it and change it myself. ???

I have the answer for you. My 2001 was underwarranty when I purchased it used. The first thing I did was to make sure everything was working - guess what? My left turn signal in the mirror did not work. The dealership fixed it in about 20 minutes by putting a new bulb in the housing. It is real tricky to remove everything to get to the bulb. But I remember somewhere a thread that actually showed you how to do it. My Screw is out of warranty now 38000 miles, if one of my signal lights went out again, I would let the dealership change it while they were doing other things. Also, I got a free paint job from Ford at a custom paint shop because of paint issues under the clear coat. Hope you like your Screw, they are the greatest. Semper Fi

Hey man, I appreciate it. I love the truck and I have plans for some Foose 22s here real soon. That and a billet grill, a K&N and a flowmaster.

I wash the truck 3 times a week and the gf thinks I'm crazy. Anyways I'll look in to that and see if I can talk to someone around here who's done it before because I dont want to break the mirror trying to change a $2 bulb.

Turn mirror all the way down and look behind mirror you will find two plastic tabs release these with a flat tip screw driver and the mirrow back will pop off allowing access to the turn signal bulb just take it easy as it's all plastic and to reinstall just pop it back on. Hope this helped.
