Need Help On Pricing Quick!!!

Please help a future ford owner out. I am looking to buy a XLT super crew and need to know what a good price is. Is X-plan the way to go or should I just try to negotiate a deal? I am looking for a toreador red with flint interior w/ 5.4 maybe reverse sensing, 6cd and maybe a couple of other options. I would like to have the short bed.

Any help with what would be a good price and where to go to get it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I can get the X-plan price, but my local dealership did better than that. If you go in and reject their first price, you can probably name the price you want to pay (within reason of course). After taxes, fees and everything else, I paid about 82% of the sticker price.

In CA locally they are advertizing the '06 XLT SuperCrew for 21888 ($10k off MSRP). Since this is a volume deal you're limited to the 2wd, 5.5' bed, 4.6, and no two-tone color schemes. It still seems like a great deal.

I've seen others getting similar deals elsewhere on '05s and other deals.... edmunds has a prices paid forum that's worthy of checking out, too.

X-Plan is the best priving with out going to Employee pricing. The only variable in X-Plan is your trade if you have one, plus you still get all the rebates / incentives available at that time. If you have a X-Plan Partner code jump on www.Fordpartner.com and then click the link for Ford Direct. There you can see the dealer inventory and the X-Plan price of the model you want. Good Luck!

X-Plan is aprox. 3% behind invoice price. You can get the invoice figure off of either Edmunds or Kelly Blue Book. X-Plan makes it nice and easy to deal, but you can do better by working the figures hard. Also have the dealership run a Vincent Report on the vehicle you are looking at. This will automaticly pull up any extra rebates or other cash back offers on the vehicle. Some of these are not broadcast to the public, but are there yet the same. Also sometimes there may be extra monies offered if you use an X-plan. From time to time there will be an unpublished $500 to a $1,000. Again, a Vincent Report will bring this to light.
Good Luck

go x plan, takes the negotiating out and it will be an overall better experience purchasing the vehicle. i gaurantee you if you go and beat them up, and save the extra MAYBE 10 dollars a month, you will look at it as a bad purchasing experience, the harder you negotiate the worse the experience for most people, plus, your salesman wont be there if you need help with service in the future if you are a d***. i know i coould have gotten my truck cheaper, but i also know that using my a plan, it was a cut and dry deal, and my salesman is ready to help me when i need it, has called me once a week for 2 months to see how things are goin, and where i am with mods and whatnot. i had to take it in for a minor warranty issue, he had a loaded fx4 crew ready with a full tank for my loaner, luckily it was in and out, but he topped my tank off for the hassle. and sales people can make service reps a lot less of a pain, as long as you arent a headache for them... morale of the story, go x plan, it isnt worth the couple dollars you will save to negotiate, IMO
