I see you say yours was a 2/4 drop, did you do any lowering at the point where you have a picture of your "before" picture? Because, it doesnt look like you have a noticeable factory rake to your truck.

And i know having 18" rims makes your truck look like its sitting a little lower. I will probably be washing my truck and taking pictures to compare my before and after drop. My estimate is still 3/4 drop on mine.

Do you by chance know your tire size, or total tire diameter, i think you may actually have a taller overall diameter then I do.
Thanks,
-Patrick

Before pic I had a 2" drop in the rear. My driveway slopes towards the front of the truck (in those pics), so that might be some of what you are seeing.

Current tire size is 265/60/18 which the diameter is very close to your stock 17" wheels and tires.

Good luck with your project!! Feel free to contact me with any other questions.

Actually my rims are 16"
I was comparing our pictures and i think i may have more like a 3-3 drop after comparing them.
I also see you have plastic fender trim, which makes you wheel well appear smaller, which makes the truck sit a little lower.

Here is the comparison i did with pictures i took yesterday after washing my truck.

Did you spend the 35 bucks to get the steering bump stops for your truck, that ford says you need if you put the lightning rims on a non lightning truck?
And just curious how much you spent on your rims/ tires. I am looking at a used set of 18's with 5k on the tires, and i want to see if im getting a decent price.

Thanks,
-Patrick

Yes, the turn stops are an absolute must unless you relocate the brake line bracket. I found out after the fact about these. What was happening was when you turn the wheel sharp, the screw that holds the brake line bracket in place digs into the inner rim of the wheel. This (1) messes the inside rim of the wheel up and (2) ends up knocking off any wheel weights that you might have attached there. I ended up having to lengthen the turn stops even more once I lowered it.

I originally spent about $1200 on wheels and tires - bought them off of eBay already mounted and balanced.

By the way, looking at those pics of my truck, my front has settled some so it is now a little lower, so it has a sweet little rake to it.
