Spare Tire Key

I bought my truck used it is a 2002 s-crew. Went to let the spare tire down so that I could install my hitch. Come to find out it has a security key that I need that did not come with my truck. I was wondering if all of these were the same or if each key was different.

Thanks

Chris

it wouldnt be a key if they were all the same

Check through the glove box paperwork it could be in there. it is about two inches long and maybe half an inch- 3/4 and inch in diameter.

If you cant find it i can find the number you would need to call about getting a replacement...

Check behind the back seat, passenger side, in the compartment where the jack is. Lots of folks put the key in there so it stays with the jack.

Get a bolt cutter, then you don't need a key.

This is what ive found

There is a registration card (i never filled out) that is supposed to help you track down a replacement.
Information on this card to mail out is:
Owners name, Address, city, state, zip code, country
if you know any of that from original owner may help.

Then the next page says you can contact McGard, Inc. for a replacement at:
3875 California Road, Orchard Park, NY 14127-4198
Tol free 1-800-44-5847
Direct call 716-662-8980
Fax 716-662-8984
or www.mcgard.com

Let me know if that takes care of you if not i can see if i have any other info im overlooking.
