Just bought an 05 SCrew, quick question

Hey guys, I just upgraded from a '00 Ranger 4x4 to an 05 SCrew 4x4. I got it barely used with 8K miles on it. Its white with tan cloth captain interior. I opted for the 4.6L for a little bit better milage. I came out really well with my trade and the cost of the SCrew... The truck was 23000 +TTL. Anyhow, It didnt have the manual and I am goin to call an order one, but the question I have is this, does the back rest in the back seat fold down or just the seat part fold up? The reason I ask is I can figure out what the back pull strap goes to in the middle right behind the seats next to the back window. Thanks for your help!! Taken the truck hunting in south texas today... Gonna get 'er dirty right off the bat!!

That darn loop is there for absolutley nothing. The seats just fold upward from the bottom, and the seat backs are mounted into place and don't move unless you pop the clips between the back and bottom seats (pain in the rear). We put a stereo in a extra cab (same seats) and it took me a while to get the rear seat off the wall to install the amp. After you do it once, it is cake. It isn't something like just pulling a lever and it folds down though.

I just got mine an 05 Supercrew XLT 5.4 Triton and it was 24000+TTL and it was brand new. Anyway the strap you saw at the back sit is for car seats. And have fun. FYI, you might have 300HP at 5000Rpm.

I removed the big staple from the plastic sheath that is slipped over those teathers, pulled the sheath off, and tucked those big black things down behind the seat.

You can download an owners manual here if you don't want to buy one.

Hmm......I thought it was an umbrella holder

You can tell I don't have kids!

It does make a mighty fine umbrella holder though - just shove it through the loop and it will prevent your umbrella from doing the kamikaze towards you if you ever have to slam on the brakes.
