New Billet grill coming in...

Hey guys. I just ordered this off of Ebay.

Do you fellow F150 owners have any advice for the installation?

$54.98 shipped...

For some reason they justified the excessive shipping cost as storage fees or something.

It's all good though. They gotta eat and I got the grill for less than I expected to pay. Let me get it in and I'll tell you how it turns out.

Yes, pics will be added.

I almost ordered the same grille, but chickened out due to the price. It looks sweet in the pcitures, but as cheap as it is, something has gotta be up. I hope it turns out to be a good buy for you. If you have good luck with it, I may get one myself. Be sure to post pics and wha you think of the quality when you get it.

BTW...does it replace the honeycomb grille, or just go over top of it?

According to the auction, it directly replaces it.

It should be here by the 16th so I'll post some pics and fill you in on the details.

I bought a similar grill from ebay. Don't let the low cost fool you, it is a very nice grill. The instructions that come with it will tell you everything that you need to know step-by-step. Good luck!

Thanks BJH. I haven't had problems with Ebay yet so I wasn't expecting any...

BTW: I had seen your pics before and noticed your lower billet grill. Where did you get that one? If you don't mind.

I found that one on ebay also. It was about half of the price of the upper grill, and I think looks a lot better with it. If you search "F150 grill" in parts and accessories on ebay, it will bring some up.

I wish they'd sell 'em as a set but I can understand why.

It looks good on your ride. BTW...

It's a good thing that everyone is entitled to an opinion. Life would be boring without a little variety.

Oh yeah, talking about variety, PonyBoy, how's your truck doing? Tell the maintenance guys at the dealership we say "hi" since you can't keep yours on the road for more than a month at a time.

I bought that exact grill. What they don't tell you, you have to cut the grill to fit. It does not come precut. It is just a curved piece square in shape. You have to cut it to fit the grille shell. Plus, I think you need to cut the shell also. I have not installed mine, because I do not want to mess with it. If anyone is interested, I will sell it.

Mine came pre-cut. It fit perfectly in the grill shell. The company I bought from on ebay is called Grille4U.
