Cool Bed rattle fixed?

So my Screw has had a rattle in the bed real bad for the past two years. After researching here, I took it in and explained that there is a pad between the bed and the frame that falls out of alignment that's probably causing it. I was told not to worry the mechanic knows what he's doing. I was told that all it needed was tightening up. A week later it started again. I procrastinated but finally brought it in again. Told them the same thing about the spacer pad, told me the same thing about the mechanic . This time they tightened it up and replaced the bed rail cap .

Well needless to say, wasn't long before it came back. I procrastinated some more but finally called the Service Manager. Brought it in yesterday, low and behold they found this spacer pad missing that goes between the bed and the frame . It appears fixed now, much better, but we'll see later this week for sure, I'm taking her out into the desert for a romp....

The assembly plant didn’t put the spacer pad in? Must have been a Monday morning or a Friday afternoon job

So JD - I'm not clear if the pad was missing betweent he bed and the frame or the bed and the rail cap? I've been wondering how the rail caps (sides not tailgate) come off - wanted the see if I could tighten them up a bit....

I’m not positive, but I think the rail caps are held on with just plastic clips.
Someone who knows for certain will chime in with the skinny, I’m sure

The rail clips on, start removing by rotating the cap from the inside toward the ouside starting from the front of the rail and working to the back.
