CD cartridge won't eject

I posted this several days ago on the audio forum but so far no replies. I've got a 2002 Supercrew with the 6 disc CD changer mounted behind the rear passenger seat.

My kids and wife went on vacation and when they got home they told me the CD player won't work. Apparently it was working at one point but now when you push CD to play a disc you get an error message.

If you open the disc player and push the cartridge eject button there is sound from inside but it doesn't eject.

Anyone know if I can manually eject the CD cartridge? Or, any other help you can give me to solve this?

Thanks

I had the same problem with mine. I had to reset the radio to get it to work. I did that by just unplugging the battery and then reconnect it. After that, it worked just like it was suppose to do. Hope that will do it for you. Good luck.

CD eject

Had the same problem with mine. Every time it would display an error 69 or no cd dj . After taking mine appart and manually working the gears I would re install, only to have it happen again, with several CD.s in the cartridge, I replaced it . Seems there are a lot of problems with the 6-disc changers. Found one in the classifieds on this web site for under 100 bucks, Its an older modle, so it wont play my burned cd's but I have no complaints.

Crappy CD Player........
