Smile Bright Red or Dark Stone Lariat

I am new to the truck world as I have always owned sports cars. I have narrowed my search down to a Bright Red/Tan Lariat or the Dark/Stone/Tan Lariat. The red is nice but I am concerned of fading with the red as I have had that trouble in the past on other vehicles. Any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am glad to have found this forum!

I had my red 98 for 6 years before trading it in on a 2004.

The paint wasn't faded at all. A little hazed from dirt, oxidization etc. But nothing a good polishing wouldn't have fixed.

Clearcoat paint finishes have just about erased color fading. Buy the color you like now.

Get the bright red/tan joker. My 05 is that combo and its gorgeous, especially when just washed and waxed. I have owned about every color there is and I get more compliments on the truck than anything I've ever owned!

Thanks guys for the suggestions. As expected, the red/tan looks like the favorite but in Massachusetts I am having trouble locating one via Forddirect. Should I pay the extra money for a SCREW over the SCAB?

Absolutely joker get the screw. IMO they look much better and there is a huge difference in interior room. The price difference upfront is re-couped at trade in time also.

I have a dark stone screw and love it. I have also received several compliments on the color. Personally I like the metallic paints better than the solid colors, but that's just personal preference.

The only downfall of the paint is, like any other dark colored vehicle, it tends to show the dirt more.
