I have had messages from a few people complaining about the MPG on their SuperCrew.
My truck is a 2005 4x2 with the 3.55 axle.
The first tank was 65% Highway at 75-80, average speeds for the interstates here in AZ, and 35% city mixed. I got 16.8. I will also point out we have had very windy conditions lately.
I towed a 3000# tent trailer at 70+ for over 225 miles and got 14.9 for the trip while gaining somd 3000' in elevation.
I think this MPG is very reasonable for the power the new 2005 has.

I just towed around 7500-8000lbs today and got around 8-10mpg I'm guessing. I have an 01 with the 5.4 and it's a 4X4.
Needless to say the truck did a heck of a lot better then I thought, or some of the people on here made it seem.

I’m satisfied with my mpg too. I’ve been getting around 16mpg to 16.2mpg local driving. I have a 4x2 w/ 3.55 rear and I consider myself a moderate driver. Next month I’m going to Lackland AFB TX to see my youngest son graduate basic training. It’s going to be approximately 1,240 miles one way 2,480 total. I’m hoping to see 20+mpg; don’t know if I will but I’m hoping.

I just finished a 400 mile trip while the CC was being fixed. I got 18.6mpg. With the 5.4L. I am hoping it will be better once the CC is fixed.
