The wait can be a killer, so here is a picture you can look at until then.

Love the Dark Stone...

I've had comments ranging from, "It looks Grey to me" to "I love the new Chocolate Brown color to "You're crazy", "that's Dark Shadow Grey. The Stone seems to have the brown kick in sunlight. Be sure to check it good to make sure they painted ALL the nooks and crannies!!! (see my previous post) "Lariat...24 days". Congrats on the new truck.

I really like the color.

When its clean its one of the nicest colors out there, i my unbiased opinion.

it really looks dark in over cast and at night but in sunshine it REALLY sparkles. Plus, I have only seen one other f150 dk.stone in INDY and it was at a dealership. and I've only seen two other vehicles in dk.stone, a SD and a sportrack. I parked right nect to a SD the same exact combination I saw the guy come out and he did a serious double take. Anyway, I love it and yes do check the color all around. I've had to have warrenty work as well. Just a small deal though.

Any mods in mind??

tc4hi,
Welcome to the Forum and to the world of S-Crews! Trust me, this forum is a lifesaver! LOTS of great knowledge on here.

I'm sure you've been checking out the posts and looking at the mods we've done to our trucks, do you have any in mind?

Your truck is going to be a beauty. That color is awesome.
Again, welcome to the forum!

Yeah, the wait is a killer but from all the great stuff I've read here it will be more than worth it.As far as mods go,she will probably stay stock for a while(gotta feed family, pay bills, etc) I must admit I do like the look of a lifted truck with nice wheels though.

ooooooooooh!!!

Sounds like you've already been bitten by the "modbug"!! Well, whatever you do, I'm sure you'll love your truck!
Cruise around the "Suspension" forum under OEM. Lots of pictures of new S-crews with leveling kits and big tires ( Get ready to pull out the wallet!!!)

Even if you decide to not do a thing to your truck, you'll be amazed at the amount of knowledge here.

Again, welcome to the forum and to the S-Crew world!

Just curious. Why did you get a 4.6 with 4x4? Is it going to be under powered? I just took delivery on a Lariat the 15th with the 5.4. Traded in a 04. The 04 seemed to have more power than the 05. Maybe it will get better when it breaks in. Anyway congrats.

Thrill Racing,

Your truck inspired me to change my mind from Medium Wedgewood Blue to Dark Stone. I ordered mine last Saturday.

Here are the options:
F-150 SuperCrew Lariat 4x2
Dark Stone
Arizona Beige lower accent
Tan interior with leather captain's chairs
3.73 Limited slip
Audiophile with 6-cd changer and MP3
Power adjustable pedals
Bright tubular running boards
Trailer tow package
DVD prep package

Total MSRP = $36,880
Total X Plan = $32,166

They said that I should have it in 6 weeks!

I ordered the Dark Stone with the Arizona Beige lower accent and Black leather captains chairs. I love the way this combination looks and man oh man, do I get comments on this truck. I'm glad that they made the wood inlay darker in the 05 than on the 04. I'm wondering of this is because I got the black leather interior versus the tan or if this was a change for the 05's.. Regardless of what colour combination that you choose, these trucks rock... Ford really did their homework with these trucks..
