Lightbulb DEAD battery story

So I go out to start my truck and nothing, just a loud clicking sound. Yep that 'ol Motorcraft has had it. So I get a jump and head to Autozone to look at what they have and what catches my eye? A sweet red top Optima. Now I wouldn't have known a thing about them, were it not for you guys on here telling me how great they are, so what do I do? Yeah, I fork out 140 bucks for the battery, because like you, I love my truck and want the best for it, oh yeah my kids are cool too....jk. So I go home and put that bad boy in the truck and LAME. There is no way to get that thing in there as a good tight fit, even with the lame plastic adapters from Optima. So I go on line and lo and behold there is a Billet Aluminum cage built especially for the battery. No kidding the guy who has been selling the trickest ones is right here in Mesa, AZ. About 5 miles from me. So I go over there and look at them. I am afraid to ask how much they cost, but they look so good I know I am not leaving without one. Another hundred bucks out the door, and ALAS, I have a new battery. Down about $250 bucks I have a QUESTION for ya. Here are a couple of pictures. WAS IT WORTH IT? Mind you I could have been out about $40.00 at costco. Tell me what you think about the battery holder. Funny how billet keeps finding a way to get onto my truck... https://www.f150online.com/galleries....cfm?gnum=5487

Looks nice but my battery was covered under the 3 year warranty so when I needed one I got a Motorcraft from Ford for $0.

Sweet setup! Optima batteries are fantastic. I used two of their blue tops in a 12v configuration on my boat. Expensive but say so long to any power problems!

I plan on replacing my stock battery 24 months after I pickup my new SCREW later this month. Never too early to plan for maintenance!

Just don't ever let it discharge - like with leaving your lights on. Optimas don't recover from that very well.

That Billet Aluminum cage looks good but $100 bucks is to much
