Got a new truck!!

Well, new to me.
Turned in my leased 2002 F-150 Scab and PURCHASED
a 2002 F-150 Lariat Screw!
Believe me, I was worried that I was going to end up with a vehicle that I would hate. This truck is great. 5.4L, deep throaty exaust system, 18" bling wheels & tires (not pimp style) All the goodies. 42,000 miles, dark shadow gray.
The price? I got it for $19,000.
I am very pleased with it.
Now, how do I get the shiny slippery stuff off of the interior that the dealer wipes all over it?

Beers for all of ya!

Congrats on the new ride! As for the interior, try buffing it with a dry cloth. I know what you mean. When we bought our Expy last week, the dealers detail man used about a gallon of tire shine. By the end of the week, it was slung from front to rear!

Congrats! Sounds like a nice truck and a great color.

A couple items you need to pick up to keep your new baby in pristine condition. For the front seats I'm currently using Meguier's leather cleaner/ conditioner although I've been told that Mother's and Lexoil both have products that are as good or better. You also need to get in the habit of using the running boards and oh-chit handles when entering and exiting the truck. Don't get in the habit of spinning and sliding off the seat or else your pretty seats will look like crap in 3 years.

NXT Tech Protectant for the exterior plastic trim. I finally found a plastic dressing that impresses me 4 weeks after applying it.

Soon you will be wanting a tuner to firm up the slush-o-matic shifting. Don't fight it, a tuner is your best bang for the buck of any performance upgrade.

Oh, and Pledge works great for cleaning the interior. Repels dust and leaves a nice gloss without being slimy.
