Rear seatbelts wratcheting

Both of my rear seatbelts continually wratchet tighter and tighter when you are wearing them. You have to unhook them and let them retract completely before they will pull out again. Has anyone else ever heard of this or know what needs to be done to fix it?

Rear seatbelts have an “automatic locking mode” so you can strap in a car seat, etc. without the belt loosing up. You engage the locking mode by pulling the belt all the way out. It’s suppose to disengage by letting it retract completely so something is not working correctly.

Maybe the spring that coils up the belt is sticking a little bit and not letting it retract completely.

Can't fix it. Situation normal for a baby seat.
