Moisture in Fog lamp

I have a 2003 Ext Cab with factory fog lamps. I recently replace them and I seem to be getting some moisture in one of them. Is there something I could put on the gasket to seal them better? I've checked it twice and it is fitting properly.

Are you still within warranty? If so, it's covered...

I had the same problem on my 01. I had two driver's side assemblies installed before I figured out that it was a major hassle to go to the dealership, leave the truck for a full day, and come back to get it for what was to be a 10 minute fix.

My resolution...

Silicone.

I took a tube of white GE Silicone sealant and put a bead around where the bulb actually locks into the housing. Further, I removed the assembly and put a very thin bead around the seal between clear plastic and grey plastic.

When I traded it, it was still moisture free...

The only draw back is having to cut the bulb out if you blow one... no biggie really though...

Thanks. My warranty just went up. Is there something I can use that will seal but not dry up to where I have to cut it out?

Hmm... probably. I'm just not sure what...

Don't let the cutting it out part deter you from going this route. It's very very simple with a razor blade. I replaced mine once while they were sealed in and it took all of 2 minutes (if that long) to re-obtain access.
