Unhappy Tonneau Cover Keys?

I bought a used 03 F150 from an individual. It has a Tonneau Cover on the bed. This is my first time to ever have a Tonneau cover.

The seller lost the keys to the cover, so I'd like to obtain a replacement set of keys.

What's the best way to get replacement keys for a Tonneau Cover?

Thanks!

Either notify the covers maker or a locksmith and have one made.

I'm not sure what your lock looks like but mine are very similar to the locks on the storage door of a motor home. I've thought that if my locks give me any problems I would drill them out and just replace them with with locks from Camping World or an RV supply store.

Each topper, to my knowledge, is keyed differently. You're probably going to have to hire a locksmith for this one...

Best of luck!

A couple years ago I bought a toolbox for my truck and the seller only had one key. I called around and found a local retailer for that brand of toolbox. Went over and asked for a couple keys. They took the number off the lock and a week later I had 4 replacement keys for free, compliments of the manufacturer.

I've done this twice with two different brand toolboxes and didn't get charged either time.

Good thought RJS...

If the lid has a serial number or similar, it may be able to be matched. Not sure but certainly worth a try.
