Question S-Crew needs new shoes!!!

Hello all!
I've been searching the forums for info on tire sizes. I'll be buying some new tires this summer, and want something that will "fill the gap" that my stock Goodyear RT/S 265-70R17 seem to leave. Nearly all my driving is city, using my 4x4 for occasional snowy/muddy conditions.
I plan on keeping the stock rims, but want a more aggressive look for the tires. I'd like a taller tire as well.
I've searched the forums a bunch and it seems that there are lots of opinions.

285-70R17, 285-75R17(does that size even exist???), 295-70R17, or 305-70R17 seem to be the fav.'s.

What size/brands do you all like? What will give my truck a little more height?

I'm apologize in advance if I'm asking a question thats been addressed before. Blame it on my noob status!!
Thanks in advance...

Every other thread in the 'tires and wheels' forum goes something along the lines of "What's the biggest tire I can put on my ---------- (year, make, model, trim level) with ------- (stock height, 2" lift, 3" lift, 6" lift, etc.). Check it out.

Many on here have had the Revo's put on, Including myself. I would dare say that all are very happy with them. Do a search for revo's and you'll see for your self.

For the type of driving you do, I Think you'd be very happy.

Revos all the way man. Best AT tire I have ever driven on personally.

You can't go wrong with these tires.

Good luck,

Revo's

Hey I saw the thread and All of the research I put in, EVERYONE (99%) loves the REVO's. I just had some put on yesterday! Quiet, smooth and my 2wd sets up higher! I had 255/70/16 I moved up to 265/75/16. S & S Tire or Towery & Saunders are the local Firestone guys in your area. I grew up in Lexington and I now reside in Henderson, KY. Good luck!

Bridgestone Revos

Thanks for the info on the Revo's. I went to the website listed above and didn't see the size I want.(285-70R17).
Is 265-70R17 the biggest size they come in?

If so, anyone have bigger(285 or 295)-70R17 on their S-Crews?
Thanks to all for the help.

These are my new shoes. I decided to go with an old favorite. I would say they are definitely an upgrade over the previous GoodYear Wranglers. Size is 265/70-17. I didn't feel the need to go one size up.

IR- I had those on my '96 150 (31x10.50's) but found they were a bit noisy... any complaints? I was seriously thinking of going back, but everyone here seems to think the Revo's are better.

Talking

Don't want to burst your bubble, but why do you want a larger tire if you are doing any off roading at all and might need a tire because you wiped one out in the high country in a remote 4 wheel drive area. Some one can get you a Bridgestone Dueller Revo in a standard size but just try to get a tire that is oversize (that must be ordered from Denver) and get out of the area in a week or two.

It is cool if you are in town, Denver in my case, to showcase your Screw but in the mountains forget it, you must be practical. This is my 2 cents worth. Semper Fi

They handle much better than stock. The GY's used to squeal going around corners. These are much better.
