Smile Pace-Edwards Rolltop Installation

Well, I finally took the plunge and got a Pace-Edwards rolltop. After completing the installation, I thought it might be helpful to share the experience. I've placed annotated pictures in my gallery.

My overall impression is that the material is of good quality and well engineered. The instructions, however, are lacking. The pictures are way too small and one is not even referenced. My impression is that the instructions were written by someone who was intimately familiar with the product, for someone who has done this sort of thing before. The instructions need to be more of a "Installing Rolltops for Dummies" type document and include better (and more) pictures and descriptions.

Having said that, I am very happy with the result. I like the low profile look and the top operates very smoothly. It also seems to seal well at the tailgate. I still have not gotten it to lock correctly, and will be looking into that today. That's probably an issue of installer-error.

Install looks good. The tracks do seem to be very wide on each side. I wonder if they would get in the way?
