2003 Tailgate Lock
2003 Supercrew Tailgate Lock
I am trying to install a tailgate lock on a 2003 F150 Supercrew. The instructions state to tap Pink/Yellow and Pink/Green to lock and unlock. Unless I am color blind I have no such wires .

I don't think so, the instructions state the connections are on the passenger side.

Wire Colors
I bought my kit from TruckGadgets.com.
I ran the wires to the driver side. Under the kick plate they told me to use pink/black (lock) and red/orange (unlock). Worked like a champ.

According to the 2003 service manual, if you were on the passenger side, you should hook up to the pink/orange & pink/black. Not sure which is lock and unlock, but that's what a test light is for.
Hope this helps,
Tony

Success. I took the truck down to the service station that does the service on it. They pulled it up in the AllData system and ...got absolutely nowhere. So they called the ford dealer to find out where the wires are and were told they were in the center of the dash in the firewall.
In looking at all the wires I had freed he found the set that goes to the backdoor under the carpet. We unwrapped them and found the pink/green and pink/yellow the instructions said were behind the kick panel. So anyway, works great now. Thanks for the help.
