Wrecked :(

I havent posted here in a good while but Im so depressed right now I need some advice. Last night we were sitting at a red light and some dumbass girl creams us from behind going 60. Knocked us into another car in the intersection....everyone is mostly alright....

but my Screw is totaled. I loved my truck. I dont have any idea what to do now. Her insurance will have to pay obviously....but where can I find another Screw just like that one?

I dont like the 2004 models....no offense to anyone here who has one....Its just not for me...

Is there any way to find a 2003 (preferrably solid black) Supercrew at this point or is *everything* 2004 now.

What can I do to get my baby back guys?

It should be fairly easy to find another truck man. Atleast no one died. Just start shopping the car lots in your area.

Naturally, you're not going to find a new one out there but, you really shouldn't have any problems finding a good used vehicle. The used market is very plentiful with all of the major brands offering excellent incentives and interest rates.

Trucks are replaceable and, while I understand your depression, I'm very glad that everyone is okay. It sounds like it could've been ugly.

Good luck with your hunt and let us know if we can help out in any way/shape/form.

Check to see if there are any "auto brokers" in your area... They will take the info you give them for the type of truck you want, and they will locate it for you. Sometimes they even transport the vehicle to you from where ever. Of course, at a cost... but not as much as a new '05. (I'm with you- I havn't warmed up to the '04-05's yet...........LOVE the '03 though!)
Glad to hear you and the Fam are OK- trucks can alway's be replaced!!!!

Re: Wrecked :(

CoachP,

I am glad no one was hurt. I would check your local Ford Dealers and try to get a certified used 2003 (low mileage and they give an extended warranty).

There have to be other guys like me that had a perfectly good 2003 SCrew Lariat and got bitten by the 2004 (or 2005, now) bug and traded their trucks in prematurely. I only had my 2003 for ~9 months and it had 7000 miles on it. The dealership said it still smelled NEW inside when I traded 'er in.

Good luck in your search. You'll find one!

Glad everyone is ok. She musta been on the phone or something and didn't see your truck. Stupid people.

Anyway, what was your truck? We have an '03 solid black FX4 screw on the lot. It is used, but is really nice and only has (if I remember right)18k miles on it.

On another note, When I bought my new '04 in Sept. we were on the locator looking for my truck. When I was just messing around and decided to see if there were any '03 King Ranch screws left. I didn't find any KR, but to mine and the owners' suprise, there were some brand new '03 screws out there. We found 4 or 5 on the first search. So it is possible to find you an '03 still on a lot somewhere. And they would dump it I'm sure. Also I was like you and didn't really care for the '04 till I drove one. They ride and drive soooo much better than the '03 and older. Plus there are big rebates as well.

CoachP,
Look on the brighter side, you can search around and get one you have always wanted. Just think of the rush you get whenever you buy another vehicle. Nobody hurt, take the insurance money and go shopping.

But of course, get the vehicle YOU want. If you dont like the 04's get the previous body style! I still like both. I actually am trying to find the funds to build a older body style supercab 4x2 prerunner. That would be my off road vehicle...

I wonder if you can pickup an '04 "heritage" on a new car lot? That would be the same thing as an '03.
