Angry Vibration @ 50 mph

I have a 2004 Supercrew with 550 miles on it. Approximately 50 miles ago I started noticing a vibration at a speed of 50 mph. I haven't taken it to the service department yet but has anyone else had this problem?

I have noticed the same problem with '04 SCrew.

My first thought was it might be the tires (BFG Radial Long Trail 265-60-18).

What is it?

F150 NOISE

Here we go. I bought a used f150 supercrew three weeks ago.
It has onlky 15,000 miles on it. So it is under factory warranty.
It is also a "Certifyed Ford Vehicle". I also got the exetended
warranty on it, looks like I did the right thing for a change

I am taking the truck to the dealer Friday, to see what they can do about the noise. It happens between 45 to 50 miles an hour.
It sounds like big wide tires hitting the pavement. What is strange is that it goes away before or after that speed range...

After reading everybody's complains, it sounds like I am in
for trouble. Probably a lenghty fight.

I took mine to Reynolds Ford and this is what they advised me. They said my right rear wheel was bad and 3 of the 4 tires were bad. They received the new wheel but have not received the tires from Continental yet. I'll post again when they make those changes and hopefully that will take care of the problem.

I think the problem is over blown. There are a few dozen truck owners with a vibe problem that have hundreds and hundreds of posts about it.

Mine does the same at 50 mph with the gas on,dealer road force balanced the tires and reindex wheels to tires. That seemed to help for a while, but now the vib, is back right at 50 while your accelerating..3100 miles now..I think maybe it's the driveshaft out of balance...

well I have been dealing with a shimmy and vibration problem for 13 mo's. now and while my truck was up on the rack AGAIN I thought of something that might just cure the problem. I went to a building next door and test drove another crewcab... no vibration....why because it was a CHEVY..... I traded in my 2004 Flop ..I'mean FORD, now my problem is solved and enjoying driving again !!! something to concider !!!

OnStar - "Hi, this is OnStar, how may I help?"

Al - "Uh....my truck is dead, I think my transmission has gone out, what do I do?"

OnStar - "You should've kept the Ford"

.....Well.... I took mine to the ford dealer and they practically
rebuilded the differential. They change the "cone" and "shims"
and gears. They did a good job and they didn't give any problems. The truck runs fine and I am happy with it. Good luck with Chevy.......

I had my '04 Supercrew serviced for that exact problem and was fixed. I think they just balanced the tires. Does your truck rattle at all going over bumps in the road?

No, I have no more probl;ems with it. I just pulled my trailer
for about 1200 miles without a problem. I beleive that in my case
the problem was the differential as the dealer stated/repaired

Same problem since new. Vibration clears up at app 60 mph.
Dealer reports NTF.

Funny no wonder Big 3 losing Market share.

After 2 CSK (cold start knock) aka Piston slap GM's I finally fixed that problem.......SOLD.....I bought a Ford.

And now, yes I too have the oh-so-common whiney rear (49-51 light throttle tip-in sound familiar).

I can manage not to drive in that range, but the only way my Chevy wouldn't slap....I mean hammer, is if I didn't start it.

Maybe I'll try a Dodge next, but then I'll have a bunch of problems with that and get pissed at them and by a Toyota!?
