2004 SCrew randomly shuts off...
2004 SCrew randomly shuts off...
Has this happened to anyone else here or am I the only one.
Sometimes when I pull up to a stop sign or light, the truck will randomly shut off...I have an appointment to have the computer reprogrammed Thursday morning, so its not like they are not aware of this issue. The gas gauge is inaccurate also. It will drop to 3/4 ( its a 30 gallon tank) and when I put gas in, it will only take about 3-4 gallons. Its been a questionable first 1000 miles on this thing....

Well I haven't had that particular set of problems with my 04 SuperCrew, But I do have a leaking windshield that's due to be replaced on the 19th. As for the windshield its a known problem with the urethane sealer.
The dealer identified the problem that is causing my truck to randomly shut off. They will be installing a new PCM in it on Tuesday of next week. It seems that the one now in the truck was faulty when installed during the build.

Our office has a 2004 F-450 SD that did this too. We know the dealer pretty well (we built his building) and it took five, yes I said five, programs before the truck would idle right and not shut off at it's own free will.
