Squeaking noise

Notice a squeaking noise (rubbing of rubber) which seems to eminate from under the passenger side of the dash. Anyone come accross this on their Super Crew? It only seems to occur when it it is cool and humid out and eventually goes away. No evidence of leakage in the vehicle. It is minor, but was wondering if someone has a reason or a fix. Any chance it is the shock making the noise?

I have the same issue. I thought it was just me but when it's cool out I notice the same rattle or noise. It happens on the drivers side almost near the front window. I tried pushing down on the dash and it seems like it fixes the problem. When it's warm it doesn't rattle. Almost like it expands during hot it doesn't rattle. I notice it when I drive to work in the morning and it's cooler but not when it's hot during the day.

My super crew had a slight rubbing noise at the base of the windshield since it was new took me about 3 months but it was the defroster duct rubbing on the bottom of the dash. You can pull up on the dash in the defroster duct and feel where they meet. I stuck a couple of matches between the two and it has been 3 years now and no squeaks yet....

If you pry out the oval part of the dash on the top in front of the passenger you can see all the ductwork....

thanks for the info, I will just have to see what is the cause of it by looking under the dash.

A friend's SCrew had the same thing. I believe it turned out to be a hood strut. If you perform a search in here, you should find the thread I started when he first noticed the noise.
