any snowplows on your screws?

any snowplows on your screws?

hi all i know ford doesnt recommend it but has anyone plowed with their supercrews? its also alittle off season to ask i know. im interested in what problems youve incountered. id rather not trade it on a superduty but my 88 f250 is gettin too tired to plow anymore. thanks

I don't do it myself; but I've seen a snow plow on a screw once, couldn't stop to talk to him (was interested in a plow also). Personally, I would not recommend it.(too hard on the tranny)

Also saw a screw with a wheel lift tow package (02 F-150 Screw), he said it was a leased vehicle and he would not lift anything larger then a Honda. He also really didn't care much for the truck (since it was a lease).

Yes i have a Western light duty installed on mine for 2 Buffalo winters now for plowing my 100' drive and my family members houses also no problems to speak of although i always remove it after plowing to avoid any unnecessary wear and tear on the truck

jctruck- do you have the 7'6" or the 7'2" western plow? and did you crank the torsion bars up? thanks

I have the 7'6" plow and i did crank the bars 2 turns if i remember correctly
