Unhappy Poor Engine performance

I own a 2002 F150 Supercrew, 4.6 liter engine. It now has 60000 miles on it and it is running rough. Both at Idle and driving. It started with a service engine light, then it started to run rough. Checked code and came up with P0405, Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor "A" is to low for the current engine operating conditions. I changed the EGR vavle and that did not help. I checked the sensor and the control module. They seem to be good. I am lost right now. Could it be a O2 sensor? If you all could help I would appreciate it.

Thank you
Pepe

I have the same code with the only difference is the truck runs fine but my gas mileage has lowered by 1 or 2 mpg.

Any body know what to do?/

Mine just pulled 2 codes - same symptoms a 0307 and 0303 which indicate misfires on cylinders 3 & 7. I believe since being gone for a week, truck sat and rain a gogo -- the #3 & 7 coil packs are fried -- will confirm in am when the dealer does a warranty check -- my SA stated his went out on his 4.6l as well.
