Rear Slider

I know there has been much discussion regarding leaky rear windows in the 2001 screws. I will be having mine replaced due to breakage and I want to make sure I get the potenetial leaking problem fixed in the process. I am confident that the Ford replacement will use the new seal design as in the 2003 models. Has anyone used a CRL aftermarket slider? and do they use the improved seal system.. they are $150 less expensive than the Ford replacement. Any experience anyone has with aftermarket rear sliders would be most welcome.

C.R. Lawrence used to produce the power slider rear window that was an option on the fords in the early 90's (man i feel old saying that). They used to produce pretty good quality windows & sunroofs. I would feel pretty confident in installing a CRL slider. The old days, when I first started in the autobody trade (1987) the window was simple to install...today a different story.

Good luck!
