factory video system?!

I recently purchased a 2001 Screw Lariat with a rear entertainment system (RES). The previous owner told me that this was a factory installed option but I have yet to see and other trucks with it. Did Ford really offer a RES an an option on 01's or did this guy just not know what he was talking about? He was the second owner so it is possible that the guy before him installed it. The wierd thing is that instead of having the 6-disc changer in the center console, it has a VHS player in the console and the changer is relocated to the storage compartment behind the passenger-side rear seat. Any thoughts?

We have a GEN III 2001 SCREW with a cd changer. The factory placement for the changer IS behind the rear passenger seat in the storage compartment. Back then dvd was not an option, only VHS.

I always thought the factory location of the changers are in the center console like on Expeditions. You're probably right as I am new to F150's and am not quite familiar with the details yet.

behind the passenger side rear seat is the standard location for the CD changer in the Supercab and SuperCrew.
